BSc in chemistry, Fudan University, 1953; visiting scholar, University of California, Berkeley, 1981-1982; visiting research professor, New York State University at Buffalo, 1986; Professor of Chemistry, 1985-present; Ph.D. supervisor, 1986-present; Deputy Chairman of Nuclear Science Department, 1960-1985; Director of Laser Chemistry Institute, 1985-present; Vice Chairman of Shanghai Society of Nuclear Science, 1978-1983; Member of Chinese Chemical Society council, 1991-1998; Member of Chinese Nuclear Society Council, 1981-1988; Member of the academic board of the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Reaction Dynamics, 1991-present; Vice Chairman of the academic board of the Radiation Chemistry Laboratory at Shanghai Nuclear Science Institute, Academic Sinica, 1993-present; Recipient of Scientific Achievement Awards from State Education Commission and Shanghai Municipal Scientific Awards.

Laser-induced chemical reaction kinetics;
