      Female, born on Aug. 21, 1933; BSc in Chemistry, Fudan University, 1953; visiting scholar, Beijing University, 1954-1956; visiting scholar, Imperial College, London University, 1979-1981; visiting professor, University of California, Berkeley, 1985-1986, visiting professor, University of Connecticut, 1999. Professor of chemistry, 1984-present; Ph.D. supervisor, 1985-present; Chairman of Chemistry Department, 1983-1986; Chairman of Chemistry Academic Committee, 1983-1996; Chairman of Chemistry Graduate Committee, 1983-1999. Member of the University Senate, 1984-present; Board Member of Catalysis Division of Chinese Chemical Society, 1984-1999; Board Member of Physical Chemistry Division of Chinese Chemical Society, 1984-present. Vice director of Shanghai Society of Chemistry and Chemical Industry, 1984-present; Member of New York Academy of Sciences and Third World Organization for Women in Science. Recipient of State Invention Award, Scientific Achievement Award from State Education Commission, Shanghai Municipal Scientific Award and Shanghai Eminent Invention Award. Deputy Chief Editor of ˇ°Chinese Journal of Catalysisˇ± and ˇ°Chemical Journal of Chinese Universitiesˇ±. Shanghai Red Banner Woman of 1983 and 1997. Educator of 16 Ph.D. students and 28 MSc students.
